JLN director of operations to speak on NEPC, NRCRI one-day sensitization training programme
Chima Ifekwe, a motivational speaker and director of operations, JLN Agric Implementation Services Limited, will speak on the activities and products of the company in a one-day sensitization programme on cassava value chain of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council ( NEPC) Owerri in conjunction with the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI) Umudike, Umuahia ,the event will hold on Tuesday June 22, 2021.
According to the director of operations of the JLN Agric Implementation Services Limited, the company is an agribusiness organization that develops agribusinesses ecosystem that leads to value chain additions in the agricultural sub-sector.
And the company ensures food security in Nigeria and Africa through technology-driven agricultural services, this is as the firm is also good at leveraging technology to support and create a better livihood for big and small farm holders across Nigeria and Africa.
He stated that JLN has taken agriculture to the next level by implementing the sustainable development goals(SDGS) and sustainable agricultural practices of food security and eradication of poverty and hunger through modern mechanized agricultural and climate smart practices.
He said “JLN Agric is a trailblazer in farm equipment and machinery services provisions, agronomy advisory services, pre and post harvest storage facilities, logistics supporters, links to credit and agricultural insurance products, forward-thinking strategies , forward and backward links, export substitutions, technology and skills to assist targeted farms and farmers “.
Meanwhile in the invitation from NEPC, Owerri the areas of interest on the one-day sensitisation training programme on the part of NEPC and NRCRI include : varieties of cassava and its end products , best practices for handling and processing cassava and other root crops for export, plant health management for cassava, best production practices for export targeted cassava and ginger etc
The programme will also serve as an avenue for NEPC and NRCRI teams to meet with the relevant stakeholders and chart a way forward on how best to make available the stems of improved varieties to farmers in Imo State.
The sensitization training programme would hold on Tuesday June 22, 2021,and the venue would be Bencom Hotel, Port Harcourt road Owerri.
